Our Family

About Whispering Willows

At times it is a bit shocking to look back and see the full impact of becoming a "farm family."  All we needed was an alternative to cow's milk!

Our first doe was Nora.  She provided milk for our youngest child and also birthed the inspiration for our farm.  The first baby born on the farm was Willow. She is spoiled rotten and happens to be the queen of our farm. She and Henry were raised side by side.

Livestock Guardians

Our Great Pyrenees, Maggie Lou, is the primary guardian of our herd.  She is gentle with our family but ferocious against predators that pose a threat to our goat babies!

Boggy, a Karakachan, joined our family in 2016 as a 30 pound puppy and grew very quickly into those paws!  He loves to play with Maggie and all of our children but he tends to escape his pasture on a weekly basis. If you see him out, send him home!

And the rest of our fur family

Feedback from Buyers:

“I loved my doe, Whispering Willows Ginger Roo.  She had such personality, was built how I like my does, long, deep and wide, and produced some very nice kids for me before I lost her.  One of her sons, HHF LGE EH Hot Pepper'n'Ginger, named after his mother, has been retained to keep her genetics in my herd.”
